Our work is informed by effective methods of psychotherapy that are scientifically validated and specifically developed. In particular, we specialise in ISTDP, which is informed by neuroscience, exposure therapy, attachment theory and psychodynamic therapy and DBT, which utilises a cognitive, behaviour approach, however emphasises the psychosocial aspects of treatment.

How therapy can help you:
Throughout the coarse of therapy we work together to identify patterns of behaviour that are automatically activated in particular situations. These patterns of behaviour are likely to be creating problems both internally and externally, leaving you feeling stuck and in conflict with yourself. We believe these behaviours allow a person to mask and avoid their emotional experience. This avoidance of emotion is triggered by anxiety with is often outside of our awareness. Consequently, therapy will be internally focused aim to increase your self-awareness of behaviours, emotions and anxiety. This awareness builds your emotional capacity and ability to regulate your anxiety as well as creates an opportunity for you to consciously decide how you want to respond to situations.
